This
amplifier got everyone's attention because of the 8877 tube.
The design runs the filament voltage above spec to get the highest
output. Some put in a series resistor. The best design practice
was not used. The goal was the highest output at the lowest
cost. Channeling heat out of the amplifier is a problem. This
is a unmodified version.
