The 180S-1 was the work horse tuner for the Collins S-Line Amateur Radio Service product line. This product was designed for both balanced and unbalanced application. As
you can see in the above left picture the product is well made including a substantial roller inductor and vacuum variable. In the right picture the placement of the two selectors (red) determine the unit's
application. In the collectors market this unit sells for $300 (08/00). The unit is interesting because it would probably cost more than $600 just to manufacture it today.
