below is the bandpass plot of the standard Collins 75A-4 filter set. The 75A-4 used the "J" style filters requiring the 7 pin miniature socket. The filter positions were designed into the 75A-4 receiver. The clip secured the filter internally in the 75A-4. (455 J 05, 455 j 2.1 and 455 j 3.1 are the most popular).
From inception many filter package styles were developed for different applications. As the "art" improved the packages got smaller. The filter section on this web site covers the older style filters.
