The HT-4 really started
the Hallicrafter transmitter product line. The unit migrated
in to the famous BC-610. Many BC-610 were decommissioned
after WW II and eventually ended up in the hands of Amateur
Radio Service operators. Many still function today. The
HA-X units pictured to the right have not been restored
(yet). They represent the first attempt by any manufacture
to supply a integrated communication package covering
the HF and VHF communication frequencies. The following
pages describe these units and the HT-37.
