The SX-101A
was the last of the 101 series. At the time the trend
was toward the interesting 2 meter and 6 meter operation
(technician class license). Why the company gave up
160 meters on this receiver is a question? In the left
rear of the internal picture is the standard crystal
calibrator. Different from other receivers manufactured,
the crystal calibrator is a standard feature not an
accessory. This unit included dual conversion, T Notch
filter a direct coupled noise series limiter and a 40:1
band pass tuning system. Modes of operation included
CW, AM and SSB.
