The KWS-1 consists of two physical units, first the RF deck (top component) and the High Voltage power supply (the bottom component). Beside the normal wire connections the HV PS component supplies high pressure air to cool the finals in the RF deck.. A large hose connects the RF deck to the blower. This unit is working but has not been restored as yet. This unit has installed the 4 to 1 knob and gear assembly. The knob assembly sells for over $200 in the collectors market (08/00). This addition makes the unit shown more desirable. The tuning and loading knobs tend to be problematic in these older units because they are potted metal and have, in some cases, been abused. The KWS-1 may have 4X150 or 4X250's (two) in the final. The early units have 4X150's. In the top view below the door keys are taped to the RF deck lid (in case you were wondering).
